Neuroscience is the key to understanding perception, thought, and survival. It is the study of the most advanced and elegant mechanism on Earth. For students, it can lead to understanding themselves and others: physiology, drives, emotions, illusions, function and dysfunction, and rational thought. It can also be a gateway to personal and career goals.
This Project Based Instruction unit is designed to teach the five basic "big ideas" of Neuroscience:
Cells, Membranes, Action Potentials,
Synapses, and Reflex Arcs
